The story

Christmas Eve morning, and the front door bursts open. In comes Santa, snow on his boots: his reindeer have run off to play hide-and-seek, and they fly tonight.

He hands your child a bag of carrots ("Reindeer can never resist a carrot"), and out they go into the snowy village. A sheep with antlers in the field. A cow whose bell goes clang in the barn. A hen with four big hooves. A duck much, much bigger than the rest.

Eight reindeer, eight disguises, and one real goat with a twig on its head. Then it's back to the sleigh at dusk, and up over the village, with the very first present of Christmas Eve delivered by your child.
