A personalised Halloween book where your child goes to Scare School

The grown-ups just aren't scared — "Oh, aren't you SWEET!" So your child heads to Imaginary Island, where Mr Bogglesworth, head teacher of Scare School, teaches the roar, the scary pose and the spooky cackle. Then it's trick-or-treat, door after door — and at last the scream they've been waiting for all night.

Order your hardcover by Friday 16 October for delivery before Halloween. The ebook usually arrives in under 15 minutes, right up to Halloween.

Inside the book

A watercolour storybook page: two girls in a skeleton suit and a vampire cape roaring beside a big, friendly green monster in a red bow tie, by a pond
"Lesson one," said Mr Bogglesworth. "The ROAR!" He roared so loudly the leaves shook off the trees. Olive and Joni roared right back, as loud as they possibly could. Even the reeds by the pond seemed to shiver.
A watercolour storybook page: the two girls laughing until they hold their tummies, the friendly green monster laughing with them in an autumn wood
"Lesson three! The spooky cackle!" Mr Bogglesworth threw his head back and cackled and cackled. Soon Olive and Joni were cackling too, holding their tummies with laughter. It was the funniest sound they had ever made.
A watercolour storybook page: the two girls roaring at a front door while a startled neighbour throws up his hands, and their dad, holding a baby in a pumpkin suit, laughs
The first door! ROAR, pose, cackle! "EEEK!" shrieked the grown-up. "Take the sweets! Take them ALL!" Olive and Joni held out their baskets, thrilled it had worked so well. Daddy carried Bodhi close behind, chuckling at the fuss.
A watercolour storybook page: the two girls sitting in a heap of sweets on the living-room floor as their dad screams in the doorway
A gasp came from the doorway. Daddy stood there, staring at the sweets everywhere. "Now THAT'S scary!" he shrieked, and finally, finally screamed. Olive and Joni sat up in the sweets, grinning from ear to ear.
